Meghan & Brennen – Avalon Event Center

Meghan and Brennen had an amazing rainy wedding day at the Avalon Event Center in Fargo, ND. The fall colors were perfect outside, and everyone stayed warm and dry inside the Avalon! One of the most amazing parts of this wedding day was the ceremony. The bride’s brother was the officiant and it made the ceremony unique, heartfelt, and perfect for the couple. I told him he did a great job afterwards, and he said it was easy when you love the couple as much as he does!

This couple planned the perfect wedding day, and the North Dakota weather tried to keep things interesting! The week leading up to the wedding, the forecast kept bouncing back and forth between rain and no rain. Then, the day before, the rain was out of the forecast but there was wind instead! We came up with some back up plans, and hoped the rain would end in the morning like the forecast said. However, the weather was extra unpredictable! It would be sunny one moment, and raining the next. Thankfully, we were able to use the Island Park Gazebo and hide from the random downpours. We even got a few dry photos out in the park with the blue sky and fall colors!

The Proposal Story

Meghan and Brennen headed out to Montana for a mini vacation, and of course did some hiking and sightseeing. One night they went out for an ice dinner and then headed to a quiet area called Wild Bill Lake. It was raining, which was driving Brennen crazy! Even with the rain, Brennen was able to set up his phone and find the perfect spot to propose. It was just the two of them and it was perfect. Brennen asked Meghan to marry him, she said yes, and she definitely cried tears of joy!
