Sierra & Cody – Crooked Lane Farm

Sierra and Cody had a beautiful, windy wedding at Crooked Lane Farm in Colfax, ND. The weather has been very rainy lately, that we were happy with the dry weather even if the wind was pretty crazy. It helped create so much amazing movement in photos, especially with the bride’s veil! Then, the ceremony was perfect tucked in along the river. It blocked everyone from the wind, and created a quiet spot for these two to say I do.

Sierra and Cody got engaged on the property of their first house! They were walking around after recently purchasing the house, and it was the first snowfall of December. The flakes were coming down huge and fluffy! They were walking their dog, Rugar, and when Sierra turned around to look at Cody, he was on one knee with Ruger sitting next to him! It was such a sweet proposal and Sierra of course said yes!

This wedding day was beautiful with the outdoor ceremony, social hour out on the patio, and the reception in the barn with the big doors open to let in the sunlight. There were guests playing cornhole in the grass, family and friends laughing and sharing stories, and kids dancing to the music. I love summer weddings like this that allow everyone to enjoy the beautiful summer evening outside!
