Lindsey and Matthew had the perfect evening for a summer engagement session at UND in Grand Forks! The UND campus is quickly becoming one of my favorite places for photo sessions outside of Fargo. The campus is beautiful and has the perfect mix of buildings and green space.

Lindsey was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed a few years ago! That sweet bride, Catherine, reached out and connected Lindsey and I! Lindsey is so lucky to have Catherine as a friend, especially since she is newly married and has so much amazing wedding planning advice. I can’t wait to see how amazing their wedding day at Carlos Creek Winery turns out!

This couple had a big trip to Italy planned for just after this photo session. Matthew didn’t want to propose in Italy though, because he knew Lindsey wanted it to be a private moment between just the two of them. Him and Catherine planned a big surprise for Lindsey for the perfect proposal. Matthew and Lindsey arrived at Catherine’s house and the backyard had been decorated. Matthew proposed and of course Lindsey said yes. Then, it turned into an engagement party and a bunch of their friends and family showed up to celebrate! Lindsey got the private moment she always wanted and then was able to celebrate and show off her new ring as well!
