Emily & Lucas – Fair Hills Resort

Emily and Lucas had an amazing summer wedding at Fair Hills Resort in Detroit Lakes. The day started with so many emotional first looks with the bride. Lucas went last and the couple read their vows together in private to start their wedding day together. During their private vows, Emily started with saying that her heart feels safer in Lucas’ hands than even in her own body. That is such a beautiful way to describe this couple! They spent the entire day celebrating with each other, making each other laugh, and wiping each other’s tears away.

For the proposal, Lucas took Emily out on a date night in Hudson, WI for dinner on a rooftop. A storm rolled in and they had to eat dinner inside instead. Emily didn’t think the proposal was going to happen, and Lucas surprised her by stopping at the riverside beach and asking her to marry him! Emily said yes and they spent the evening calling friends and family and telling them the news.

Everything about this wedding day felt so joyful, with many tears of joy. Emily not only had her bridesmaids with her to celebrate, but she had a second group of ladies in blue dresses as her something blue. Lucas’ mom gave a very sweet speech at the reception that also had the entire room laughing. Towards the end of the night. Every moment of their day was perfect for them and showed how much love their are surrounded by.
