Hello there! My name is Alecs and I am so excited that you found my blog! Now it's time to cuddle up with your favorite furry friend, mine is my cat Goof, and start reading!
DeAnn and Stu got married on the perfect summer day at Venue 31! The air was warm and the sun was shining, making it the perfect weather for an outdoor ceremony. I loved so many things about this wedding day, but my favorite was how it was all centered around family. DeAnn and Stu’s wedding day was not only about them getting married, it was also about combining their two families! From the family unity ceremony to the family first dance at the end of the night, they made sure to include their boys in every step of the day.
Instead of a traditional bridal party, DeAnn and Stu had their boys join them. Typically when I arrive on a wedding day, the bridal suite is full of ladies getting their hair and make up done, laughing and talking, and gushing over the wedding dress. As I walked into the beautiful bridal suite at Venue 31, it was only DeAnn and her mom working on finishing touches before putting her dress on. I mentioned that it was quieter than a typically getting ready room, but DeAnn warned me that wouldn’t last long!
Once she was dressed, DeAnn called the boys over to get ready. Suddenly the room was full of all the guys trying to get ready! DeAnn and Stu were in the middle of it all helping their boys with their ties, finding the right jackets, and making sure everyone’s hair was perfect. They both helped the boys until everyone was wedding ready! It was amazing to see the family work so well together and how everyone helped and supported each other. This family is full of so much love!
DeAnn and Stu met at church and last November Stu proposed while they were just hanging out and planning for Thanksgiving. They planned their wedding while running the kids to school and sports and doing everything else life threw at them! Now they can start their lives together as husband and wife and continue to raise their beautiful family.
Congratulations again DeAnn & Stu!
DeAnn and Stu had a special 50 anniversary cake for a lovely couple who was celebrating on the same day. However, the cake slid off of the plate and landed on the floor! Everyone had a good laugh and ended up sharing some cupcakes instead!
