Cozy Winter Wedding in Downtown Fargo

I am so happy that my 2018 wedding season ended with a cozy winter wedding! It may have been below zero outside, but it was nice and warm inside. The bride and groom, with the help of some technology, met through a dating website!  You may remember Stacy and Dan from their beautiful summer engagement session. They chatted online and ended up meeting at a local bowling alley.  They had more than an instant connection!  Stacy never wanted the date to end, so when they were done bowling she asked what Dan’s plans were next.  Dan didn’t want the date to end either, so they continued to find fun things to do together for the next couple of hours! Then, the next day, Dan called Stacy and told her that he needed to see her.  Some people are just lucky enough to find love at first sight!

A few years later, Dan suggested they go see the ice castle in Detroit Lakes. Since Stacy is always up for an adventure, she said yes!  However, that was not the only thing she would be saying yes to that day!  When they arrive at the ice castle, the first thing Stacy did was take a picture of it with her phone. The next thing she knew, Dan was down on one knee!  He said, “I told your dad, I asked my parents, now I have to ask you, Will you marry me?”  And of course Stacy said yes!

Stacy and Dan’s love for each other kept them warm during their cozy winter wedding! They choose the beautiful Sanctuary Event Center in Downtown Fargo for their winter wedding. You may think they are crazy for planning a wedding in the middle of a North Dakota winter, but the snowy scenery outside and the warm cozy space inside was perfect! It made the wedding feel small and intimate as everyone gathered inside to stay warm. It was the perfect wedding to end 2018!
