Beautiful Fall Engagement Session at Lindenwood Park

Kaylin and Adam picked a beautiful evening for their engagement photos, even though Mother Nature tried to change our plans! There was a low chance of rain all afternoon and evening, and it looked like we were going to get lucky with no rain. Then, just a few hours before their session, it started to down pour!  After a summer of no rain, it was crazy to see it rain really hard and not let up.  I started to worry about their session and how we would stay dry, but I knew they were in town for only a short amount of time. We decided to chance to rain and go for it!  I drove to Downtown Fargo in the rain with an umbrella and rain jacket.  There are a few good spots downtown where we could hide from the rain, so that was the plan!

Thankfully, Kaylin and Adam were still excited for their session and they weren’t about to let some rain get in the way!  We started photos in the rain, and within minutes the rain cleared up and the sun started to glow through the clouds. We ended up getting very lucky, and we got all the benefits of a rainy engagement session, without the rain!  The fall leaves in Lindenwood Park popped against the dark, wet bark of the trees and the river was even foggy and perfect at the end of the photo session!

Kaylin and Adam met two years ago through mutual friends. They hit it off right away and have been together ever since!  They are planning an amazing wedding day in Devils Lake. Their reception is on the shores of Devils Lake and is such a beautiful location!  I can’t wait to photograph this sweet couple again on their wedding day!  Congratulations again Kaylin and Adam!
