Hello there! My name is Alecs and I am so excited that you found my blog! Now it's time to cuddle up with your favorite furry friend, mine is my cat Goof, and start reading!
Imagine saying your wedding vows to your soon to be spouse, looking into their eyes, taking your time to say all the words you want to say to them in this moment. They wipe away a tear and laugh at the little inside joke you included. It is intimate, and sweet, and you want to remember this moment forever.
Traditionally, vows are said during the wedding ceremony, however couples lately have been doing private wedding vows instead! They plan time just after the first look to say their vows together without all of their guests watching and listening.
I love the idea of private vows. There is no reason to feel embarrassed or intimated by what you want to say. You can truly speak from the heart!
If you and your partner decide to do private vows, make sure you are on the same page! You will both want your vows done and ready before the first look. Decide with your future spouse if these vows are going to be completely private or not, so they know what to expect.
You can also buy vow books, which will give somewhere official to write your vows as well as photograph better than a loose piece of paper or a phone, I love matching vow books for photos!
If you still want to do vows during your ceremony, you have a few options! You can repeat your full vows or just a portion of your vows during the ceremony. I have also seen couples do more traditional, pre-written vows during the ceremony since they already did their personal vows in private.
How you do the private vows is completely up to you! Whatever feels natural for you both and your relationship. Weddings today are all about the couple and what they want to do. You can stick to traditional or do something completely new and different.
Whether you are planning a huge wedding, or a small intimate one, send me a message and we can chat all things wedding!
