Red Themed Styled Shoot – Wadley Farms – Utah

Last year, I was lucky enough to win a free ticket to a Styled Shoots Across America event!  I saw an amazing styled shoot planned for a castle in Utah with shades of purples for the details. I fell in love with the location and colors and knew it was the shoot I wanted to go to!  Unfortunately, the styled shoot was rescheduled due to the pandemic. The new date was July 2021 and I started planning a trip around the date!  Then I found out that that styled shoot was getting turned into a shoot crawl. That means there are more models, different colors and details for each area, and hours of amazing photos to take!

My husband and I decided to fly into Southern Utah, visit the five National Parks, and end up just south of Salt Lake City for the Wadley Farm Styled Shoot. Wadley Farms is a castle venue right in the mountains. There are a handful of buildings on the property, and each of them are as amazing as the last. I love how the styled shoot coordinator used each space to feel like a different wedding day. It was very different than weddings in Fargo Moorhead, because obviously we don’t have castles and mountains!  I love styled shoots though because it really pushes my creativity!

Red Styled Shoot

My group at the styled shoot started the morning at the red themed styled shoot. We had gorgeous models and an amazing ceremony space filled with red flowers!  I have never seen flower arches along the ceremony aisle and I love the drama they create!  The red styled shoot also had an intimate indoor ceremony site and a sweet outdoor reception. Most real weddings I have photographed will do the opposite and have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. However, I love the idea of getting married inside an air conditioned building during the heat of the afternoon! Then as the evening cools off, moving outside for the reception. That is the best thing about styled shoots, there are so many unique ideas and inspiration for real wedding days!

The styled shoot crawl had multiple parts to the day, including a couple with purple details. There will be plenty more blog posts to come with the other sections of the day, but for now enjoy the romantic red styled shoot.
