Hello there! My name is Alecs and I am so excited that you found my blog! Now it's time to cuddle up with your favorite furry friend, mine is my cat Goof, and start reading!
Sarah and Phil are married! Like most of my 2020 weddings, Sarah and Phil had many obstacles to work around while planning their dream wedding. They originally planned for a November wedding, but ended up moving it to September. Thankfully, their new date was a beautiful fall day, perfect for their romantic wedding!
Sarah and Phil both come from large, loving families. Sarah was able to fill her half of the bridal party with her beautiful sisters. Having all her bridesmaids her sisters was so special. Every moment of the day, from when Sarah put her dress on, to when she shared a dance with her father, her sisters were all there holding back happy tears.
After meeting at a South Dakota graduation ceremony, Sarah and Phil began dating long distance. After many text messages, phone calls, and skype dates, Phil knew he was ready to propose to Sarah. He began to plan the perfect surprise engagement. Sarah and Phil had set January 1st as the day they would consecrate themselves to the Blessed Mother, individually and as a couple. This is a lifelong commitment to the Blessed Mother that begins with a 33-day long preparation, taking time each day to grow closer to Jesus and His Mother Mary in prayer.
They planned to Skype and do their Marian Consecration while individually at separate churches, Sarah at St. Mary’s Basilica in Phoenix, and Phil at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City. However, Phil had other plans! On January 1st, Phil flew out to Phoenix and waited until she was at the church. Once she was there, he surprised her! They walked down the aisle together and he proposed in front of the alter. Sarah of course said yes and agreed to spend her life with Phil!
Congratulations again Sarah and Phil!
Send me a message and we can chat all things wedding!
