Colorful Fall Engagement Session in Downtown Fargo

Aly and Andrew have been together for over seven years. They met during their freshman year of college and have been together ever since!  Each fall, since they started dating, they have had the tradition of grabbing a coffee from Babb’s and walking down to Island Park to enjoy the fall colors. Last October they were in Island Park enjoying their cup of coffee and Andrew got down on one knee and proposed!  Aly did not see it coming at all, but was so happy!  Now a year later, we found the perfect evening for their colorful fall engagement session.  These two love their fall tradition and next year will be the best one yet!  They are getting married on 10/10/2020 in Downtown Fargo!  That means we are close enough to sneak away to Island Park for some photos!

There has been a ton of interest surrounding October 10, 2020, for weddings. I am so glad Aly contacted me extra early to lock down the date. Not only are Aly and Andrew a sweet couple that are so much fun to be around, they are also cat people!  I love dogs, and have photographed a lot of couples with dogs this year, but I am actually a cat person. The three of us could have swapped funny cat stories for hours! I can’t wait for their wedding next fall!

I have used the stairs at Island Park for many photo sessions. However, the light in these photos made the location magical!

I just love Aly’s engagement ring!  The metal work is so unique. Andrew did an amazing job picking it out!
