Cozy In-Studio Family Session

It is officially wintertime in North Dakota!  Which means we can use the studio to stay warm. This cozy in-studio family session was so much fun! Little Jacob is almost one year old, so we did birthday photos, family photos, and ended with a cake smash!

We had planned to photograph this session outdoors, but Mother Nature had other plans. You may start to see that as a theme throughout my blog. Living in North Dakota means you have to be ready for crazy weather all year around! Thankfully, a studio allows us to still have fun family sessions throughout the long North Dakotan winter!

You may remember my two other cake smashes last year with Bennett  and Benjamin. Although those two were a blast to photograph, they were still pretty clean at the end of their cake smashes.  Jacob however, quickly covered himself from head to toe in icing and even flipped the entire cake over when he was done! There is nothing better than an extra messy cake smash session!
