Hello there! My name is Alecs and I am so excited that you found my blog! Now it's time to cuddle up with your favorite furry friend, mine is my cat Goof, and start reading!
Last fall I had a great time photographing a sweet family in the pouring rain. I was so excited to hear that the son from the family session recently got engaged! I love getting the opportunity to work with the same families. Thankfully, there was no rain this time so I got to spend more time with Lexie and Dane. Our session was a lot of fun, even with all the obstacles we faced! The session ended up being rescheduled only a few days before and I forgot there was a large public event in the park on the new date. Parking was tough, there were softball players everywhere, and cars were peeking out behind the trees. But, Lexie and Dane were amazing and we got plenty of great photos! Even their new puppy held his excitement and was patient with us throughout the session!
Lexie and Dane met in college and got engaged at the beautiful Minnehaha Falls in Minnesota. They had been to the falls the year before and had a blast exploring the area. As they were driving past the falls this year, they decided to stop again. During their walk, Dane pulled Lexie off to a side trail where there weren’t any people. Suddenly Dane was no longer beside Lexie. He called her name, she turned around, and he was down on one knee!
How sweet is their puppy?? She is only a few months old and already listens really well. Of course she was full of energy and wanted to explore everything, but she also sat nicely and smiled for the camera! One of the best parts of doing an engagement session with a puppy is seeing their personality show. Puppy are so full of life!
I love Lexi’s dress so much! It is the perfect shade of purple!
Congratulations again Lexie and Dane! I can’t wait for your wedding next summer!
Engagement season is here! Send me a message and we can chat all things wedding!
