Breathtaking Emerald Green Wedding at A Friend’s House

I have been waiting to photograph this wedding day since their engagement session last December!  That was the first time I saw the amazing venue, A Friend’s House. Although, we had to brave the freezing temperatures and deep snow at the time, I could see the potential in the venue though and I couldn’t wait to see it in the summer!  Between the sunny skies, the beautiful green leaves, and the outdoor ceremony site, this emerald green wedding did not disappoint!

There were so many breathtaking and memorable moments throughout Danica and Logan’s wedding, but I think the maid of honor and best man speeches said it the best. Danica’s twin sister spoke about her sister, her best friend, with so much love. Danae is so happy that Danica now has two best friends and two protectors to share her life with. Logan’s brother joked that Logan has always had to travel far to find what he is looking for. First he traveled across the county looking for the perfect truck with a good soul under the hood, then he travel to another state and found the perfect woman, also with a good soul under the hood. This bride and groom both have amazing souls, they are clearly best friends, and they will spend their lives protecting and loving each other everyday.

Logan and Danica’s proposal story is just as sweet as their wedding day! The two of them had finally decided to get a puppy. Danica drove all day to get the puppy and didn’t want to drive any further. However, Logan really wanted to see Danica and asked that she continued her drive to visit him. He was able to finally convince Danica by saying he had a present for her. Danica continued her drive and eventually arrived at Logan’s house. He had the promised gift ready and she received… a bathrobe!  She was happy, but it wasn’t quite what she was expecting. The next day Danica wanted to spend time with Logan and went along to the combines. Logan insisted that their new puppy needed to wear her collar even though it was too big for her! When they arrived at the combines, Logan asked what was wrong with the puppy’s collar. Danica bent down to look and found a ring!  Logan was already down on one knee and ready to propose. Danica happily said yes, and the rest is history!

These bridesmaids were so much fun!  They were full of fun jokes that made it clear that most of them are elementary teachers!

Ceremony Time – July 27, 2019

I love that the wind came through during the sand ceremony. The sand caught the sun and made the moment even more magical!

I’m so glad we had the opportunity to use some of the same spots as during their engagement session! This tree is even better in the summer!

A Friend’s House is so unique in how it allows for outdoor receptions!  Danica and Logan took full advantage of the nice weather and did their first dance out in the gazebo!

Alright, this is what every photographer dreams of. We had the PERFECT sunset and took full advantage of the beautiful light!!

Time to dance the night away!
