Hello there! My name is Alecs and I am so excited that you found my blog! Now it's time to cuddle up with your favorite furry friend, mine is my cat Goof, and start reading!
Katie and Kyle wanted a beautiful fall photo session at the Casselton Reservoir. The reservoir has walking paths, huge trees, and of course water! When I left Fargo, the weather was a bit rainy, but otherwise it was a nice fall day. As I drove to Casselton however, the clouds started to darken and the wind picked it. It was much cooler in Casselton and the rain had started! Thankfully, we were able to start at an amazing old church in Casselton and stay out of the wind. I love this little church and the beautiful stone exterior. After taking photos around the church, we went to the Casselton Reservoir. The reservoir was full of color and we walked around to find the trees with the most colorful leaves. We were able to find spots out of the wind and quickly forgot how crazy the weather was that day!
Katie and Kyle were on a trip in Kansas City and Kyle wanted to dress up and go to a fancy dinner. They felt like all their plans kept falling through though because restaurants were carry-out only and they wanted to find a spot they could sit and eat. It was cold out and Katie was starting to get frustrated when they finally ended up at a popular BBQ place. It ended being the perfect spot for dinner! Kyle got down on one knee and asked Katie to marry him. She happily said yes and spent the rest of the night staring at the ring and her new fiancé. Katie thought something special might happen on the trip, but it ended up being a great surprise! They had fun telling their families and since they have been together for six years, everyone was very excited for them.
I met Katie last year at a wedding I was photographing and she was the maid of honor! Now that bride is Katie’s maid of honor as well! I love getting the chance to work with people multiple times. Katie and Kyle are now planning their dream wedding for next summer. They picked the perfect date, which happens to also be my five year wedding anniversary. I can’t wait to celebrate with them! They are the sweetest couple and I am honored to share my wedding anniversary with them!
Congratulations again Katie and Kyle!
Send me a message and we can chat all things wedding!
