Sunny Fall Engagement Session at Boom Island Park

Brianna and Dan were another couple who had to work around the fall rain this year. They were visiting Fargo on the weekend we planned to take their engagement photos and hoping the rainy forecast would go away in time for their session. However, it was raining on and off all day. I was lucky enough to sneak in a different engagement session earlier in the afternoon, but it started to rain just as that one finished. Brianna and I were discussing whether or not we wanted to just go for it and have a rainy session, when the thunder and lightning started! It was getting dark out from the heavy rain clouds, and we realized rescheduling was definitely the better option.

The new session date was the end of October and we weren’t sure what to expect from Mother Nature!  When I arrived in the Twin Cities that afternoon it was a beautiful almost 60 degree day with full sun. The fall leaves were still bright and colorful as well!  It was the perfect day for photos in the park. Brianna and Dan picked Boom Island Park for their session and I quickly fell in love with the park!  There are walking trails through the trees, unique pedestrian bridges, and the downtown skyline is just on the other side of the river! I am so glad Mother Nature made us reschedule and we ended up taking photos at Boom Island Park. It was perfect!

Brianna and Dan had their first date at a brewery on a rainy day. Dan had big plans to propose, so he took Brianna back to that same brewery. As they were enjoying the day out on the patio, it started to rain!  They stood under the overhang and as they hid from the rain, Dan proposed. Brianna said yes and the rain cleared up! It was a perfect and magical moment!
