Fun Outdoor Cake Smash to Celebrate First Birthday

It was the perfect morning for a one year old cake smash out in the grass!  This sweet family contacted me because they wanted photos to celebrate their little girl’s first birthday. We picked a sunny morning, and they were all ready with the cutest dress, headband, and mini cake!  I am very glad we got this session in before this long run of 90-100 degree days we are having. I think the icing would have melted if the session was any warmer!

Little Eloise was full of smiles and giggles for all of her photos!  She loved playing with her parents, showing off her teeth, and trying to escape by crawling in the grass.  Of course, she kept an eye on her cake the entire time!  She was ready to dig in.  Sometimes, with cask smashes, the little ones don’t want to dig in and get dirty. However, that was not a concern with Eloise!  She grabbed a big handful of frosting and starting eating!  She even shared with her parents at the end of the session.

Can you believe Eloise’s dress was found at a garage sale?  It fit her perfectly and was an amazing color for photos!

Her little cake was perfect for the cake smash! It was small, but big enough for Eloise to grab handfuls of. Her parents also picked the perfect pastel colors for a little girls birthday!
