R.Jay & Matt – Gooseberry Mound Park

September Wedding at The Sanctuary Events Center – Fargo, ND

Matt and R.Jay got married on a beautiful September afternoon in Gooseberry Mound Park! Their ceremony site was set up in the grass with tall evergreens on one side, and the tree-lined river on the side. Their friends and family gathered and took their seats. The ceremony started with music from a brass music group, and the two grooms met at the alter. When they started their vows, there was not a dry eye in the group! They both spoke so beautifully about the other and their love. A big theme in their vows, what the officiant spoke about, and even the speeches later that night, was all about how these two perfectly complement each other. Matt and R.Jay bring out the best in each other and push each other to try new things. All day, everyone spoke about how they bring out true happiness in each other!

In March of 2019, Matt and R.Jay planned a long weekend in Eau Claire, WI. However, since it was March in the Upper Midwest, a blizzard had other plans! As they travelled through Minnesota, the weather continued to get worse and they decided to stop in the Twin Cities for their romantic weekend instead. While they were having dinner on a snowy Saturday night, Matt and R.Jay took out rings and popped the question to each other. Of course they both said yes! They spent the rest of the weekend exploring the Twin Cities and trying to get around in over a foot a snow.

You may remember Matt and R.Jay’s adorable dog, Colby from their engagement session. Now they have another puppy named Cheddar that had to join for photos! Colby and Cheddar stole the show for some photos with the grooms as well as the groom squad. Matt and R.Jay love their dogs and they told me all about their plans for future puppies and the names they already have picked out. They are of course sticking with the cheese theme for future names and I love that so much!
