Hello there! My name is Alecs and I am so excited that you found my blog! Now it's time to cuddle up with your favorite furry friend, mine is my cat Goof, and start reading!
Wedding details are one important part of your day that should never be overlooked! By the time your wedding day arrives, you have spent months or even years planning every little detail, especially your bridal details. From your dress, to the veil, down to the shoes, it is time to let the bridal details shine!
Many details, including the ceremony and reception details are easy for the photographer to find. We just have to go to the location and there they are! However, some of the most important details are not as easy. These details include the bridal details! I say bridal details, but don’t forget about the groom’s details as well. To insure no details are overlooked, make sure they are ready to go when the photographer arrives!
Although every wedding is unique, there is still a typical list of details we are looking for when we photograph your bridal details.
Bridal details include; wedding dress, jewelry, all three rings, shoes, bouquet, veil, invitations, and garter. The list also includes anything that is special to you on your wedding day! For example, I had a handkerchief from my mom that I carried with me on my wedding day. These details will be photographed while the bride is getting ready for the day.
Many times the bridal suite is already crazy with the bride, hair and makeup, and all the bridesmaids! Not to mention family members who come and go while you get ready! Because of the craziness, it is usually easier to take the bridal details out of the room to photograph them. I love when brides have their details in a bag or a box when I arrive. That way I can make sure I have everything I need and start photographing right away!
Those are just as important! However, they do not need to be included with the bridal details, with one exception! The wedding details should include the groom’s wedding ring, the bride’s wedding ring, and the bride’s engagement ring! Besides the rings, the groom’s details include; shoes, tie, pocket square, boutonniere, and watch. Again, the list includes anything special to the groom! My husband wore Transformer cuff links at our wedding and I am glad they were photographed! These details will all be photographed while the groom is getting ready for the day.
Your wedding invitation is a huge part of your wedding details! You put a lot of hard work into picking the perfect invitation. When you order your invitations, include a few extra sets. That will allow for extra guests, as well as a set to be photographed! I love photographing the invitation, rsvp card, envelope, and anything else that was sent with your wedding invitations!
If you are feeling extra ambitious, you can also include some extra flowers from your florist. Loose flowers pull together all of your details and add something special to your wedding detail photos!
