Sunny Winter Wedding at St. Philips Catholic Church

My last wedding of 2020 is done!  I am so grateful for all of my 2020 couples. This year has been full of uncertainty and craziness, but the love my couples have for each other still amazes me every day!  Madisen and Brody were originally one of my first weddings of the year, but once the pandemic hit they postponed until November.  Back in April, the idea of postponing until November sounded perfect!  There was no way things wouldn’t be back to normal by November.  Little did we know things would be even crazier now.  Even with a major date change and then new state restrictions just barely two weeks before their wedding day, these two stayed calm and remembered what was important. At the end of the day, they wanted to be married and they ended up with the perfect winter wedding at St. Philips Catholic Church!

Madisen and Brody ended up with the perfect late November day for their church ceremony!  It was 45 degrees and sunny all day, with almost no wind. That is pretty crazy for Northern Minnesota.  We were able to take plenty of photos around the church, in the park, and down by Lake Bemidji. After we finished up photos, it was time for their ceremony. Thankfully their church was big enough for their loved ones to safely attend and help celebrate their marriage. Once they said I do, there was plenty of laughter, smiles, and waves as everyone said good bye!  Everyone headed home, but next year they will get together again to have a big party and celebrate the newlyweds!

I love Madisen and Brody’s love story!  They originally met in kindergarten. How crazy is that?!  They were in the same class through eighth grade and started dating before sophomore year of high school. Now seven years later they are happily married!
