Hello there! My name is Alecs and I am so excited that you found my blog! Now it's time to cuddle up with your favorite furry friend, mine is my cat Goof, and start reading!
Time for some behind the scenes! 2020 was a crazy year but I was lucky enough to still photograph beautiful weddings! I had everything from large outdoor weddings in the summer to very small intimate weddings with just a ceremony in the winter. Some couples decided to wait until next year, a few kept their date to get married but have a huge party planned for later. Then there were the brave couples that stuck with their date, went through plan A, plan B, everything through plan Z to make it happen! I am so thankful for my couples this year and the other amazing vendors I was lucky enough to work with. Huge shoutout to my second shooters, the wonderful personal attendants, and anyone else who grabbed a behind the scene photo of me this year!
Here are the behind the scenes from 2020!
It feels weird for 2020 to tell people to slide in a little closer, but when it’s an immediate family portrait, you will hear me say “just a little closer” quite a few times!
Here I am waiting for the first kiss photo and I didn’t even realize the two boys in the back were recording for family members!
I typically end every wedding day with a photo of myself with my couple. I managed to only get three this year due to social distancing and mask mandates. Here is one of my first weddings of the year where I took my mask off for a quick photo!
I feel like I look like a ninja in this next photo! A black jumpsuit, with my hair pulled back, and a black mask!
Have you ever wondered what a photographer looks like when there are just minutes left for sunset photos? Time for a quick walk out to the field!
This entire post could have been filled with mask selfies from weddings!
Proof that I don’t wear my black jumpsuit to every wedding! Sometimes I go for a grey dress and red leggings. Which looks cute until I have to trade out for purple snow boots, a purple jacket, and a blue hat. But at least I was warm and my mask matched my leggings!
Not the best quality photo, but here is a screenshot from the live stream! This was the smallest church ceremony I have every photographed. Less than ten people in the pews!
I just love photographing beautiful families!
This bride and groom from this wedding both had names that started with an A. The groom made a giant sign that said A & A! My second photographer said it was perfect since A is also for Alecs!
This year I also got to second shoot with some amazing photographers! I love watching them work and learning new things.
Not wedding related, but here is as close as I will ever get to being a travel photographer! My husband also does not want to be an Instagram husband!
