Calligraphy Class – Taylily Lettering

My sweet friend Tayler, from Taylily Lettering, held her first calligraphy class this month! Tayler has been wanting to teach this class since early spring, but with the pandemic shutting everything down, the class was postponed. Now, with proper distancing and face masks, she was finally able to teach! A huge shout-out to The Red Silo in Downtown Fargo who hosted the calligraphy class. The Red Silo is an amazing store that has a great space in the back for classes. They made everyone comfortable and had plenty of space for everyone too!

Tayler is a self-taught calligrapher who loves customizing signs, cards, bags, and anything else you can think of. She does amazing work for weddings too! It was so much fun watching this class and seeing the progress all the students were making. Some of the students wanted to work on their hand writing, some wanted a relaxing hobby to practice, and others had big plans for their own wedding invitations! Tayler walked them through modern calligraphy starting with pencils and working their way up to brush pens and sharpies. By the end of the class they were asking about numbers and anything else they could think of to create their own custom signs!

Tayler is very kind and patient teacher and I can’t wait to see her continue to teach! I hear there might be another calligraphy class in the works for the holiday season as well!
