This year marks five years since my husband and I got married. It is crazy to think that it has been five years. In some ways it feels like just yesterday, and in other ways it feels like a lot longer than that! This year I almost forget to do my yearly marriage blog post. I love looking back and seeing what we did each year! To celebrate our fifth anniversary, we spent a weekend in the Twin Cities. It was our trip for the year since we are doing a kitchen renovation project instead of taking our usual big trip!

We spent Christmas with family and watched our niece and nephews open their gifts.

We enjoyed sunny weather at the lake with friends and family.

We went to Disney World and rode as many rides as we could.

We floated in the ocean and got sun burnt.

We put together lego sets and puzzles.

We watched more tv and let our cat sleep on us for hours.

We spent our evening together, even when we were each doing something different.

We started tackling bigger house projects and found our love and hate for house projects.

We found more video games to play together.

We walked around the Parade of Homes to get kitchen ideas, and enjoyed looking at the entire houses.

We finally went our dream trip to Iceland.

We hiked, explored, and ate plenty of food in Iceland.

We spent 10 days in Iceland, loved every second of it, but also missed our house and our cat.

We spent too many hours standing in our kitchen planning our renovation.

We spent our evenings picking out things for our kitchen and go back and forth on what we want.

We still go for walks around the neighborhood and look at all the houses we love.

We watched dumb tv shows and tv shows that were too good to stop watching.

We stayed up late talking and then were sleepy in the morning.

We filled up our phones with pictures of our cat.

We found plenty of time to play board games with friends.

We spent time together, we laughed, we enjoyed another year of marriage.
